Yes. The screw-mounted center handle can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver, allowing a suitable plate to rest on the opened basket.

Yes. The perforated basket can rinse and drain fruits or vegetables. Fully opened, it can also serve as a countertop fruit basket.
How should I clean it?
